To provide an easy-to-grasp overview of the history of artificial intelligence, we developed a timeline visualization, which includes selected important AI breakthroughs from 1950 to the present.
The dataset of the selected breakthroughs is published on the JRC Data Catalogue. The selection of the breakthroughs has been inspired by sources available online, and they have been classified according to the domains identified in the first technical report Defining Artificial Intelligence
