Opportunity for PhD Researcher on the societal impact of generative AI

Applications for one full-time doctoral researcher on the topic of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on the societal impact of generative AI on information trust.

The Centre for Digitalisation, Democracy and Innovation (CD2I) at the Brussels School of Governance, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), and the HUMAINT project of the Algorithmic Transparency Unit, Joint Research Centre (JRC) site in Sevilla, European Commission, are calling for applications for one full-time doctoral researcher on the topic of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on the societal impact of generative AI on information trust. 

As a PhD researcher, you will develop a research project on the societal impact of recent developments in generative AI (e.g. large language models, AI-generated audio, image and videos), in particular with regards to the spread of inauthentic content in a context of information distrust and disorder.
