17th ACM Conference on Recommender Systems

João Vinagre will participate in the 17th ACM Conference on Recommender Systems (ACM RecSys 2023), that takes place in Singapore, between September 18th and 22nd.

At the 6th FAccTRec Workshop on Responsible Recommendation (FAccTRec 2023), he will be presenting the divinAI paper "Behind recommender systems: the geography of the ACM RecSys community", a study into the diversity of the ACM RecSys community focusing on the country provenance of authors between 2007 and 2022.

He will also co-host the 6th Workshop on Online Recommender Systems and User Modeling (ORSUM 2023), that fosters the discussion around online recommender systems, including algorithm and system evaluation, long-term monitoring, research reproducibility and legal compliance. The workshop will host two keynotes, by Dietmar Jannach, from the University of Klagenfurt, Austria, and Jacopo Tagliabue, from New York University, USA, six contributed paper presentations, and one brainstorming session.
