HUMAINT aims to provide a multidisciplinary understanding of the state of the art and future evolution of machine intelligence and its potential impact on human behaviour, with a focus on cognitive and socio-emotional capabilities and decision making. The project has three main goals:
- Advance the scientific understanding of machine and human intelligence.
- Study the impact of algorithms on humans, focusing on cognitive and socio-emotional development and decision making.
- Provide insights to policy makers with respect to the previous issues.
Research topics: algorithms for decision making in criminal justice, child-robot interaction, the occupational impact of AI, AI for music listening, culture and creativity, AI in medicine and healthcare, diversity in AI.
